Hear Mike Keneally Live at Concept Music! Feb 8th 7:00pm G uitar stuntman Mike Keneally will be appearing at Concept Music on Feb 8 at 7 PM for a very special in store clinic. Currently on tour with Steve Vai, Mike started playing guitar and keys at a very young age. A huge fan of Frank Zappa,Mike studied and learned almost all of his material, something that would come in handy in the future.Mike was playing in a cover band on the west coast when he called the Frank Zappa Info line and found out that Frank was auditioning musicians for his band. He left his name and number and told them that he could play all of Franks music. A few days later he got the call to come in for a audition but had to decline because his cover band had a gig the same night. Realising that he had made a huge mistake, Mike got back on the phone and tried to get another audition.The next time the phone rang it was Frank.He had heard that Mike could play all his songs and didn't believe him. Mike got his second chance and scored the gig. He went on to tour and record with Frank from the late 80s to the early 90s. An incredible musician, Mike has played on over 30 albums including work with Dweezil Zappa, Screamin Jay Hawkins, and his current gig with Vai.
