Amplifiers

amp, the brightness and crunch of transistors, or the dynamic of one of
the many excellent hybrids on the market - Concept can help. Everything
from the top selling amp in the world - the USA Made 15 Watt Peavey "RAGE"
at just $199 (a saving of $30 off the normal price of $229). It has push-button
overdrive, 3 band EQ, headphone socket, and an incredible 3 Year Warranty,
right through to the ULTIMATE power house: an All Valve, 100 Watt, Double
Stack MARSHALL JCM900 for around $3,500! It's got enough grunt to blow
even the most manic drummer off the stage! Bring in your own guitar, or

to extend our range of Music Man, Yamaha (TRB, RBX and BB Series), Fender,
Warwick, and Ibanez. No wonder our customers tell us we’ve got the best
selection around! Of course the Bass ain’t much good without the Amp -
Concept Music is an authorised Retail Distributor for just about every
major brand of Amp on the market: Eden, Klystron by Ashdow, Hartke, Peavey,
Fender and the ever reliable Ampeg and GK. We also stock a good range
of new and second-hand speaker cabinets to go with them by all the above
manufactureres and also by Celestion and Sovtek. In fact the mighty little
Sovtek Quad box with 4 10” Eminence speakers is a real bargain at $599.
Marco is the ‘main man’ in this area, and he can tell you about any of
the 60 Basses in stock at any time. Of course we don’t just cater for professionals:
one of the best value beginner basses on the market is the New Yamaha RBX260
which sells for just $439. Practice amps for beginners start at just
$199 - and if you buy them as a “package” we’ll throw in a padded “gig”
bag, a strap, and a lead: a total saving of $85! On the Pro end of
the scale, you might like to check out one of our beautiful Music Man basses

Brass & Woodwind
Concept Music employs a full time Brass & Wind expert:
Graham Hoskins, who will be able to answer any question you may have about
orchestral instruments. We stock and recommend the Yamaha range of instruments
and believe they are the best on the market. Their quality and reliability
is fantastic, and as the biggest wind instrument in the world, they represent
excellent value for money. That's not to say they are always the cheapest
though - the old adage "you get what you pay for" still applies here! But
for the little extra you'll pay for a Yamaha, you will be forever glad!
So whether it's reeds, lessons, mouthpieces, repairs or just information
you need, ring Graham on 9322 6422. If he can't help, you're in trouble!
Drum Kits & Percussion
No drummer jokes at Concept ! (Well, not many anyway….
Marco would kill us!). Marco is the "stick man" at Concept, and he will
happily talk drums with you all day. We stock Tama, Pearl, Sonor and Mapex
in the mid to top end of kits, and for the beginners, we have Peace, Impact
and Powerbeat kits from around $495. And for all the extras: cymbals by
Zildjian, Paiste, Sabian and Meinl are available, as well as heads by Remo
and Mapex. Naturally we also have a great selection of sticks and hardware
by ProMark, Vic Firth , Zildjian, Tama, Pearl and Gibraltar. Yep, we have
private lessons available for drums too - for complete beginners right
through to seasoned players looking for advanced reading and improvisation
courses.
Effects Processors
Whether it's for Guitar, PA or Home Recording: Concept
stock a great range of Effects - both pedal style, floor and rack-mountable.
Our Boss and Ibanez guitar pedals are mounted on trial boards so you can
sit down and try the whole range through headphones. For that matter, any
of our effects are available for you to try… and there are plenty! As well
as Boss and Ibanez, we stock ZOOM, Korg, Alesis, ART, Morley, Marshall,
Tech 21…. the list goes on (and so do the sounds)! Enzo and Rob will be
happy to talk to you about the guitar effects, and Marco or Jon can help
on the PA and recording side of things.
Electric Guitars
Our range is famous… not to mention huge! "Wow" is the
most commonly uttered word by first time visitors to Concept when they
see our wall's full of electric guitars! Concept Music has secured Retail
Distributorship's for just about every major guitar you could name: Fender,
Ibanez, Gibson, MusicMan, Yamaha, Squier, Epiphone and Samick. We have
worked very hard to make sure you will get the BEST choice in Perth, and
because we have the biggest range, you will also get the best price. Excellent
starter packages for beginners are available from just $499, and this includes
the guitar, the amp., a strap, a lead and even a padded 'gig' bag! In the
"one day I'm gonna buy me one of them" end of the range, we've always got
a great range of Genuine USA Made Fender's in stock . The ever-popular
Stratocasters start at just $1699 (complete with an excellent flyte case).
Of course we also have the classic Gibson Les Paul Standards from around

Insurance
Please protect your investment! If you do not make your
living from playing music, most Insurance Companies will cover your instruments
under your household contents policy as long as you specify them separately.
Most Companies offer "new for old" replacement these days, but may require
a written valuation , and we can provide this service on request. If however
you are a professional musician, Concept Music recommends you take out
a special risks policy that will cover you in any circumstance. There are
several companies offering a special service for professional musicians

Lessons
Concept Music operates one of Perth's longest established
Music Schools, offering private lessons for most instruments, including
electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, sax, trumpet, flute and
even voice. Instruction in all styles of music is available including rock,
jazz, metal, classical and folk. The lessons are held at our West Perth
premises (see map) and are private (one to one) and cost $20.00 per half
hour. All of the teachers at Concept Music have had professional playing
experience, and have been selected on the basis of their teaching expertise
and qualifications. Our goal: to help you reach your full musical potential!
PA Systems & Microphones
At Concept Music we specialise in small to mid-range
PA systems for Bands, Duos, Rehearsal Studios, Community groups, as well
as Schools and Churches. Graham or Marco will be happy to talk though your
requirements and recommend a system for you that won't break your budget!
We stock PA's and speakers by Peavey, Fender and Yamaha, and recommend
microphones and wireless systems by Shure, Audio Technica, Samson and Peavey.
We can assist with all aspects of your PA requirements, including selecting
the correct Wattage (or Power Rating); matching your speakers to your amplifier;
checking your speaker ohm-ages; outboard effects and even speaker placement.
Recording
Now this is fun! Whether you want to write your own songs,
record your band, or just record and listen to yourself - home recording
is fantastic! We stock the full range of Yamaha 4 Track recorders, which
are loaded with features making them very easy to use, but will give you
truly professional results! And don't be fooled by the term 4 track. By
"bouncing down" (industry jargon for mixing several tracks on top each
other onto another track) even on the most affordable Model MT50 which
sells for just $849, you can actually record up to 12 tracks! At $1050,
our top selling model is the MT4X. It has dual tape speeds for greater
clarity, a digital tape counter, a punch in/punch-out function (for easy
re-recording over mistakes) and DBX noise reduction - a real little ripper.
And if you're really serious, you'll probably want to check out the new
MD4 which actually records digitally directly onto a disk! Jon and Steve
are our resident experts here, so please give us a call or drop in for
a demo. We also have a great range of microphones and of course blank tapes
and disks are always on hand.
Repairs
When you have a gear problem, you want it fixed fast,
and you want it fixed right! As Authorised Warranty repairers for Fender,
Gibson, Marshall, Yamaha and Peavey, whatever your repair needs, Concept
can help! Guitar repairs are handled by local luthier (a fancy word for
guitar maker!) Kevin Reeves of Nitrovane Guitars. His skills are amazing -
and he is the first choice of many Perth guitarists for everything from new
nuts and set-ups, to full re-frets and restoration work. Don't trust your
trusty axe to just anyone, get it done right with Concept!"
Our Amp repairs are handled by Alan Hudson: a true professional who Concept
has been using for 17 years. Alan has Circuits for just about every amplifier
ever made; his charges are very reasonable, and just as important, you
can expect a very fast turnaround on your gear. To complete our servicing
and repair facility: Brass and Woodwind instrument repairs and servicing
are also available.
Trade Ins
Our customers tell us we give the best trade in prices
in Perth! Why? Well for a start, we want your business, and to use a cliché,
we are prepared to pay for it! Also, we have a constant demand for good
second hand gear and guarantee to give you the best possible price if you
are looking to Trade up to a new instrument. We also pay cash for used
equipment in good condition. Remember though, as a Licensed 2nd hand dealer,
we must have comprehensive ID such as a photo license or Passport.
