National Kidsafe Day - 26 October 2010
National Kidsafe Day aims to increase awareness of unintentional childhood injuries and their prevention, as well as the valuable work of Kidsafe in public education, advocacy and research into the causes and prevention of unintentional childhood injury.
Visit King George Square in central Brisbane City between 10am and 2pm. Thanks to sponsorship from NRMA Kidsafe staff will check that your child restraint is installed correctly at no cost to you and also explain the new child restraint rules. There will be a sausage sizzle, display of reversing blind spots by NRMA, emergency vehicles, information from St John, see the new safety game for kids - PREVENTIT and more.

First Aid Instruction and Kidsafe House Tour - various dates
17 and 18 July, 14 and 28 August, 4 and 12 September. Starting with a guided tour of Kidsafe House followed by morning tea then get into practical first aid including CPR for babies and toddlers what to do for near drownings, burns, poisonings and more. $85 per person payable in advance. This event is recommended for pregnant couples, parents, grandparents and other carers of children. Starting time is 9am. Minimum numbers apply. Call Kidsafe Qld on 3854 1829 to book and pay.
